Orion - the beautiful winter constallation - watching over this lonely tree.
The arrival os Orion happens in August for us up in the 44-45th parallel, but really becomes dominate in the night sky late fall, as the Milky Way Core hides for the winter.
The rocky shoreline here is part of the Niagara Escarpment and creates some beautiful and dramatic landscapes along the shores of the Great Lakes.
